Linear Diffraction of Light Waves on Regular Domain Structures in KTiOPO4 crystal
Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics, Russia
We report the results of a theoretical analysis for the perturbations of a dielectric tensor induced by domain walls of regular domain structures (RDS) in in ferroelectric crystals KTiOPO4, which determine an efficiency of linear light diffraction on that kind of one. In the experiments the RDS with a spatial period of 39.8 μm formed in a high-resistance KTP crystals by electric field poling method has been used. We have observed the diffraction patterns for the extraordinary probing laser beams having the wavelengths of 532, 633 and 1064 nm. In the case of probing beam with the wavelength of 633 nm the diffraction efficiencies for the ±1 and ±2 orders have been estimated as η1 ≈ 0.0065 and η2 ≈ 0.00013 respectively.
